This beer used to be brewed by the Paix Dieu abbey, where the lunar calendar played a central role.
The brewery is committed to preserving the soul of the abbey and hence,
this beer is only brewed when the moon is full. The result?
A creamy triple full of character; an artisan beer, brewed following the pure tradition of Belgian abbey beers.
A symbol printed on the label indicates the moon under which the beer has been brewed.
We have reserved the Paix Dieu on tap and its “Prestige” glass for our “Ambassadors”: pubs excelling through the quality of their service and their product knowledge.
The Peace Abbey God is a former Cistercian abbey of the female order, founded in Amay (Belgium) in the 13th century. The lunar calendar played an important role in the monastic life of the time.
A splendid renovation work began in 1997, restoring, among other things, a new life to the former brewery of the abbey. Today, courses of awakening and development to heritage professions are organized. This is why the dodecahedron, symbol of the golden ratio, has become the emblem.
Wishing to perpetuate the brewing tradition of the Abbey, the latter entrusted the brewing of Peace God to the Brasserie Caulier.
