A distilled anise with the flavours of the garrigue.
This distilled anise, produced from our 5-times distilled grape marc alcohol, is a great alternative to traditional pastis and offers an elegant product with a bouquet of intense aromas.
It’s our master distillers who have harmoniously combined this carefully refined alcohol with Mediterranean plants: green anise, fennel, fig, coriander and angelica.
This Figanis is so fine that it can be drunk on the rocks or, more typically, diluted with 4 to 5 times as much water, according to taste.
Alcohols from grape marcs from a selection of LanguedocRoussillon terroirs and grape varieties.
Re-distillation with green anise and fennel, macerated figs and the distillates of Mediterranean plants.
By means of five successive columns, the alcohol is extracted from the grape marcs, then concentrated and rectified so as to remove all trace of methanol and impurities. Dried figs are macerated for a long time in a vinous base, which gives a typical aromatic taste and fruit sugar. Fennel and green anise are re-distilled in our alcohol so as to obtain a quality anethol that retains the delicious aromas, quite distinct from industrial star anise. Distillates of Mediterranean plants complete the aromatic balance of this ultra-premium anise.
This ultra-premium product based on superfine alcohol has immense aromatic subtlety. It has a lovely straw-coloured tint that takes on a beautiful white shade on contact with water. Drink it neat on ice or well diluted in five times its volume of water for summer refreshments.
LA GRAPPE DE MONTPELLIER - FIGANIS (France)
Since 1923 the distillery “La Grappe de Montpellier”, located on the Mediterranean coast, has been distilling the grape marcs brought to it by the great winemaking properties of the region. The spirits and the "Fines du Languedoc" produced in this way have for decades been promoting the region's traditional expertise, which goes back more than eight centuries.
Even today the great winemaking families of Montpellier still meet regularly to support the future of the distillery and to share the fruits of their production in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
With all the strength of the pioneering spirit that characterises the region, the distillery is continuing to write new pages in the history of the local spirits.
New distillation techniques and the diversity of the grape varieties from the vineyards give even more impetus to this search for the new and the unique.
It’s in this way that the GM products have been created by our master distillers, offering new tasting horizons with a Mediterranean accent.
